Nine years and countless shows after the band’s inception, the four-piece hard rockers out of Indianapolis – Adam Stoner [vocals, guitar], Dustin Webster [guitar, vocals], Casimir Gellizeau [bass] and Jason Dinwiddie [drums] - have come into their own as both solid writers and aggressive performers.
Black Dali began in 2008 as a solo project for Stoner. On MySpace, BD rose to number 16 on the Top Unsigned charts. The music gained hundreds of plays a day and over a million in a year. Stoner made the decision to make BD a full band and went through a number of members before solidifying a lineup. In addition to a large catalog of Black Dali-branded hard rock gaining popularity around Indiana, the band has developed a reputation for its thrilling live performance.
Joey Megan Harris of Indianapolis’s Nuvo Magazine had this to say of the band:
"Black Dali was almost a whiplash change from (the band before them). They were very melodic; they brought to mind Smile Empty Soul or Rev Theory. Black Dali had great stage presence, and was one of the better two of the night. They had a really tight set and were really entertaining. The guitars were magnificent; the drumming was spot on, everything meshed fantastically. I loved them, I loved their sound, I loved their set, and everything about Black Dali was glorious."
Black Dali are currently planning a Fall 2017 tour in support of their debut full-length album, due out this summer. Keep your eyes and ears open for a performance near you! In the meantime, pick up your digital copy of the Mad King EP through iTunes, Google Play or Amazon, stream through Spotify or iHeartRadio, and grab a hard-copy at the next show!
